Make It Your Life’s Work

Completed in 2013. Evo Home, 12 years old.
Well, after returning from Osaka and Kyoto, I’m a very busy NEET (lol).
Loaded the scaffolding onto the truck by myself, and set it up all alone.
A 63-year-old guy working solo—no wonder the homeowners are surprised (lol).
I designed, supervised, and built this house myself, even made the kitchen.
And now, 12 years later, I’m the one putting up the scaffolding and doing the maintenance.
You probably won’t find another idiot like me anywhere in Japan.

What?
Work-life balance?

It’s called “Life Work.”

Those who try to make easy money will never know what true “ease” feels like.

Washing every corner of the house.
It’s chilly outside, and I ended up soaked to the bone.

The natural stone entrance I laid 12 years ago.
Stonework labor costs were way too high back then, so I decided to do it myself…
It turned out kind of sloppy… water tends to pool, and it gets dirty easily.
Well, considering that hiring a pro stonemason would’ve cost about four times more, I’ll call it good enough (lol).

Looks nice and clean now~

I repaired the cracks on the exterior wall with Adox (epoxy resin) for the base treatment, and called it a day.
The rest of the work will be left to the painter.

Currently suffering from major sleep deprivation…
